A business password manager: strong passwords without remembering them
A secure place for all your team's passwords. Strong, unique passwords for every account, safe to share and centrally managed.
The problem
Passwords on sticky notes, in an Excel file or the same password for everything: it happens in many organisations. That is understandable, because nobody can remember dozens of strong passwords. But if one password leaks, criminals often gain access to more straight away.
With a business password manager your team uses a strong, unique password for every account, without having to remember it. Shared accounts are shared safely, and when someone leaves, you revoke their access in one go.
What will you notice?
Your team mainly notices that signing in becomes easier: the password manager fills in passwords automatically. You know that strong, unique passwords are used everywhere.
What it does for you
How Business password manager helps you
- 01
Strong passwords, without remembering them
The password manager creates a strong, unique password for every account and fills it in automatically. Your team only needs to remember one thing.
- 02
Sharing safely
Shared accounts, such as a supplier's portal or a social media channel, can be shared safely with the right colleagues. No more sending them by email or on a sticky note.
- 03
In control when people join and leave
A new colleague gets immediate access to what they need. If someone leaves, you revoke their access in one go.
How it works
How we arrange it
Not a technical story, but what happens and who does what.
Plan an introduction- Step 1
Setting up
We set up the password manager for your organisation, with shared folders per team or department.
- Step 2
Connecting to Microsoft 365
We connect the password manager to Microsoft 365 via single sign-on. Staff sign in with their own account, secured with two-step verification. This is how we always set it up.
- Step 3
Moving passwords over
We explain to your team how to move their existing passwords into the password manager safely themselves, and we help out if it does not quite work.
- Step 4
Managing
We arrange access for new and departing staff and keep an eye on whether everything is being used properly.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Business password manager
Is your question not listed? Feel free to call us, we are happy to think along with you.
Is it safe to store all passwords in one place?
Yes, if that place is well secured. The password manager is encrypted and can only be opened with your own sign-in and two-step verification. That is much safer than reusing passwords or writing them down.
How is this different from the passwords my browser remembers?
A business password manager is centrally managed. You can share passwords safely with colleagues and revoke access when someone leaves. You cannot do that with passwords stored in a browser.
Does it also work on phones and tablets?
Yes. You have your passwords at hand on every device, and they are filled in automatically there too.
Do we have to move our passwords over ourselves?
Your staff move their passwords into the password manager themselves. It is done quickly: we explain step by step how it works, and help out if it does not work straight away.
Is this included in Modern Workplace?
The business password manager is an add-on product. You can add it to both Essentials and Standard.
