Dark web monitoring: know whether your data is up for sale
With Modern Workplace Standard we search the dark web for leaked data of your organisation, so we can step in before criminals use it.
The problem
Data breaches at other websites expose email addresses and passwords every day. That data is traded on the dark web. If a staff member has used their business email address somewhere, and perhaps even the same password, a criminal can use it to try to sign in to your organisation.
The tricky part is that you cannot see this yourself. That is why we scour the dark web for data that belongs to your organisation. If we find something, we step in before it is misused.
What will you notice?
Usually nothing. Only when something is found will you hear from us, with clear advice on what needs to happen.
What it does for you
How Dark web monitoring helps you
- 01
Warned in time
If sign-in details of your organisation turn up on the dark web, for example after a data breach at another website, we know about it and you hear it from us.
- 02
Step in before things go wrong
A leaked password is only dangerous once it is used. By replacing it quickly, it becomes worthless to criminals.
- 03
Insight into an invisible risk
You cannot see what happens on the dark web yourself. We keep an eye on it for you, so you do not face any surprises.
How it works
How we arrange it
Not a technical story, but what happens and who does what.
Plan an introduction- Step 1
We set it up
We set up the monitoring for your organisation's email domains. You do not need to do anything for this.
- Step 2
Scouring the dark web
The monitoring searches the dark web for leaked data that belongs to your organisation, such as email addresses with passwords.
- Step 3
Alert and assessment
If something is found, we get an alert. We assess how serious it is and which staff member it concerns.
- Step 4
We handle it
We get in touch and, together with the staff member, make sure the password is replaced and the account is properly secured.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Dark web monitoring
Is your question not listed? Feel free to call us, we are happy to think along with you.
What is the dark web?
The dark web is a part of the internet you cannot reach with an ordinary browser or search engine. Criminals use it, among other things, to trade stolen data, such as sign-in details from data breaches.
How does our data end up there?
Often through a data breach at another website or service where a staff member had an account, for example with their business email address. If the same password was used there as for work, that is a direct risk.
Is this a separate product?
No. Dark web monitoring is part of our management in the Modern Workplace Standard package.
