Modern Workplace
Coming soon: application management with Microsoft Intune, apps secure and automatically up to date
Coming soon for Modern Workplace: your employees install approved software themselves via the Company Portal, without admin rights, and the applications on their laptop are updated automatically. Sign up now and you will be the first to hear.
The problem
Every laptop has applications your employees work with every day: the browser, the PDF reader, the video calling app, and often software that is specific to your industry. These need to be installed and, above all, updated. Outdated applications in particular are a well-known way in for attackers.
Without central management, everyone downloads software from the internet themselves, with local admin rights, or calls the service desk for every installation. And nobody knows exactly whether everything is up to date. With application management in Microsoft Intune you arrange it centrally: employees install what has been approved themselves, and updates happen automatically.
What will you notice?
A new colleague gets a laptop with the right software, and installs whatever else they need themselves. You no longer have to check whether all applications are up to date, and employees no longer need admin rights.
What it does for you
How Application Management helps you
- 01
Install it yourself, without admin rights
Approved applications are ready in Microsoft's Company Portal. An employee chooses what they need and installs it with one click, without local admin rights and without waiting for the service desk.
- 02
Automatically up to date
When a vendor releases a new version, it is updated automatically via Intune. No more old PDF readers or browsers with known security holes.
- 03
Over 1,300 applications ready to use
A managed catalogue of more than 1,300 commonly used applications, pre-packaged, tested and checked for security. We offer your own software or an industry-specific package in the same way.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about Application Management
Is your question not listed? Feel free to call us, we are happy to think along with you.
When will application management be available?
Soon. Sign up now and we will contact you as soon as it is ready.
Am I committed to anything if I sign up?
No. Your sign-up is not binding. As soon as application management is available, we will contact you, and it only starts once you confirm.
What will application management cost?
Only €1.50 per employee per month, excluding VAT. The add-on runs for the term of your management agreement.
What do I need?
Only Modern Workplace from NSO. The Microsoft 365 licence that comes with it already includes Intune. If your laptops are not yet managed with Intune, we arrange that first with the Device management with Intune and Autopilot project.
Which applications are included?
More than 1,300 commonly used applications, such as browsers, PDF readers, video calling apps and utilities. If an application you use is not among them, such as an industry-specific package, we can often offer it in the same way.
Can employees install anything they want?
No. You decide which applications are in the Company Portal. Employees can only choose from what has been approved.
Does automatic updating get in the way of work?
No. Updates are rolled out in the background via Intune, just like the updates for Windows and Microsoft 365.
