SSL certificates: from free to extended validation

The right SSL certificate for your website: free via Let's Encrypt, or a paid DV, OV, EV or wildcard certificate. We handle the request, installation and renewal.

Request, installation and renewal

The problem

An SSL certificate provides the padlock in the browser: the connection between your website and the visitor is encrypted. Without a certificate, or with an expired one, visitors see a warning. That costs you trust and visitors.

We supply the certificate that suits your website or system, from a free certificate via Let’s Encrypt to paid DV, OV, EV and wildcard certificates. And we handle the request, installation and renewal, so a certificate never expires unnoticed.

What will you notice?

You do not notice anything, and that is exactly the point: your website shows the padlock and visitors do not get any warnings.

What it does for you

How SSL certificates helps you

  1. 01

    The certificate that fits

For most websites, a free certificate is enough. If you need more, for example a check of your organisation or a certificate for all your subdomains, we supply that too.

  2. 02

    Never 'not secure' again

An expired certificate shows visitors a warning in the browser. We make sure your certificates are renewed on time.

  3. 03

    Handled from start to finish

Requesting, validating, installing and renewing: we take care of it, including for certificates on systems other than your website.

How it works

How we arrange it

Not a technical story, but what happens and who does what.

Plan an introduction
  1. Step 1

    Advice

We look at which type of certificate suits your website or system.

  2. Step 2

    Request

We request the certificate. For OV and EV, we help you with the check of your organisation by the certificate authority.

  3. Step 3

    Installation

We install the certificate and check that everything works securely and correctly.

  4. Step 4

    Renewal

Free certificates are renewed automatically; for paid certificates, we make sure the renewal is completed on time.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about SSL certificates

Is your question not listed? Feel free to call us, we are happy to think along with you.

What is the difference between DV, OV and EV?

With DV (domain validation), the only check is whether you own the domain. With OV (organisation validation) and EV (extended validation), the certificate authority also checks your organisation, for example through the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK). For most websites, DV is enough.

What is a wildcard certificate?

One certificate for all subdomains of your domain, such as www.bedrijf.nl, portal.bedrijf.nl and mail.bedrijf.nl. Useful if you have many subdomains.

Is a free certificate secure enough?

Yes. A free certificate from Let's Encrypt encrypts the connection just as well as a paid certificate. The difference lies in the validation of your organisation and in the warranty from the certificate authority.

Can you also supply certificates for other systems?

Yes, for example for a portal, a VPN or another system that is not hosted by us.

Shall we meet?

Tell us about your organisation. We listen, think along and show how we can take IT off your hands. No obligation.
